Protein cleavage
Purpose of this page
This web page is designed to identify the positions of (user supplied) cleavage sites
in a protein sequence and then calculate the fragment masses of the resultant peptides.
The web page assumes the cleavage site is at the N-terminus of the first amino
acid in the cleavage site. This may incorrectly report the mass of a fragment, but
this error is probably very small compared to the problems sizing fragments on a
SDS-page gel.
A Windows program that duplicates this page can be downloaded
here.
Add protein sequence in the box below (maximum length is 5000 residues)
Enter sites if using more than one site separate each site with a comma (maximum
of 500 characters).

Instructions and sample data
Copy and paste the protein sequence in to the top text box, next enter the list of cleavage
sites (separated by a comma) into the middle box (see below for an example
list) and finally press the submit button.
